How to prepare Pot Soup

The soup de olla is made with beef, in combination with a variety of vegetables, a recipe that is part of Honduran cuisine.


  • 3 kilos of beef rib
  • 3 kilos of beef cut
  • 2 legs
  • 1 kilo of cassava
  • 1 kilo of squash
  • 1 kilo of potatoes
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 large green chili
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 1 ripe banana
  • Coriander to taste
  • Achiote spices to taste if you wish
  • Salt to taste


  • Sew the rib with the tender meat in advance for two hours, add salt to taste, spices, chili, onion, tomato.
  • When the rib is tender, add the vegetables and accompany it with white rice.



  • If you have some of this soup left over, save it for another day, it is good to eat it the next day.
